Middletown — The Department of Transportation’s (DelDOT) Traffic Signal Construction Section in conjunction with Byer’s Electrical, Inc. are scheduled to begin work for the installation of a new traffic signal at this intersection. The new traffic signal will provide for the orderly flow of traffic along Boyds Corner Road and into and out of the rapidly expanding Bayberry community. In addition to the equipment needed to properly control vehicular traffic (e.g., foundations, poles, signal heads, conduit, wiring, control cabinet, etc.), the installation will include cross walks, pedestrian signals, and American with Disability Act (ADA) compliant curb ramps.
